"Playing golf professionally, I knew all too well the overhead cost associated with a full schedule. From Tournament Entry Fees, Caddies, Travel, Housing, Food, Car Rental -- I was fortunate enough to receive funding from my family. This isn't the story for every tour pro.
If players can alleviate the cost of housing by staying with hosts -- that might equate to one more tournament they can sign up for. That's one more week they can change their life.
